Daniel Traon (B and FR), graduated as a scientist in biotechnology and plant science He has over 20 years of experience in the agri-business sector, in which he acquired an international experience in business development and regulatory matters for most agricultural inputs.
He leads the Arcadia contribution to the evaluation of food safety policies and instruments initiated by EC DG SANCO since several years and still going on. He is recognised by the European Commission as an EU policy evaluator and a food expert for several DGs and provides Business development and Regulatory expertise to the agri-business sector at international level.
Daniel is currently the managing partner of Arcadia International.
Dario Dongo (IT) is associated with Arcadia as an independent consultant specialising in EU Food Law and its implementation. Dario is currently responsible for Regulatory Policies for Fedalimentare (Italian Food & Drink Industry Federation) and for assistance in capability building to third countries under the BSP programme. Dario graduated in law (University of Genoa, Italy) and in Business Administration (EDHEC, Lille-France)
Isabella has a PhD in Environmental Microbiology and she is senior consultant with a strong scientific and technical background in sustainable agriculture and organic farming. For the last 10 years, Isabella has acquired a unique international experience in regulatory, scientific and marketing aspects of organic farming and development of Biological Control Agents (BCA's). Isabella developed her network with organic producers and industry, as well as with national and international stakeholders involved in organic farming (IFOAM, FIBL, Assometab) as well as at FAO regional office for Europe for issues related to sustainable agriculture.
Katlijn has a 15-year international experience in the food industry, in Europe and Asia, in various scientific functions, regulatory affairs and communication.
She held several management functions for Tate & Lyle, a world-leading manufacturer of food ingredients during 10 years in Belgium and 2 years in Singapore.
She was also Deputy Director of the Asian Food Information Center (AFIC) in Singapore, leading the association’s issue monitoring and management programs on food safety and nutrition issues in Asia.
Katlijn Linster graduated as engineer at the faculty of Bioscience Engineering in Ghent (Belgium) and holds a one-year specialization on food science from the University of Montpellier (France).
Klaus Hellmann, Dr.(D) is the current managing director of Klifovet AG (München,D), a leading consultancy to the animal health industry regarding quality standards, monitoring, development of animal health products, clinical studies. His responsibilities and expertise include the development of quality systems, monitoring and audit for agricultural companies, veterinary surgeries and laboratories ; assistance to industry in obtaining marketing authorisations ; consulting food processing companies to hygiene and process guidance documents. Klaus obtained a Dr. med. vet from the Foundation of Veterinary University Hannover (D) and is a recognised HACCP Expert from the Bavarian Veterinary chamber.
Luc Jansegers graduated as veterinarian from the university of Ghent where he also obtained a post doc degree in zootechnics.
As consultant Luc has more than 25 years experience in the set-up of efficacy studies for both the animal health and the feed additive industry for registration/ authorisation purposes. His expertise includes market analysis for products and product positioning in food producing animals. On several occasions Luc was expert in the evaluation of EU research programmes dealing with food safety.
Philippa is an acknowledged international expert on sustainable agriculture, with 18+ years related experience. She has a doctorate in integrated pest management from Imperial College, University of London. In the past 15 years, prior to joining Agronomica, she worked in the crop protection industry (ICI Plant Protection, Zeneca and Syngenta) and held a number of senior positions in research and development, product stewardship, marketing and business strategy. Her most recent roles were as Global Head of Sustainable Agriculture (Syngenta) and Global Head of Integrated Crop Management (Zeneca) with responsibility for defining corporate strategy and driving operational activities.
Rodolphe de Borchgrave (Dr.)(B)is the managing director of Cadmos, a Brussels based consultancy specialising in food chain process and operations management, including sourcing, quality and safety. Prior to this, he held senior positions with renowned international consultancies such as AT Kearney and Price Waterhouse, with whom he acquired a broad functional, sector and geographical experience. He was recently involved in progress reviews of Turkey and Serbia towards compliance vis-à-vis EU food safety regulation. Following his PhD in physical-chemistry at the University of Louvain (Belgium), Rodolphe was a post-doctorate fellow at the University of Minnesota (US) and later attended INSEAD (France) on a senior General Management Programme.
